PMA Graduate Student Isabel Padilla Carlo will present her work at Northwestern University’s Graduate Student Conference, The Aesthetics of Race: Affects and Embodiments in Performance, on Saturday, May 4.
Isabel will discuss her Marvin Carlson Award-winning essay about kokobalé, called “Si Tu No Sabe Kokobalé” and The Reclamation of Collective Memory as a Praxis of Liberation as part of a panel called Unbounded: Embodied Archives and Somatic Repertoires. The panel will be moderated by Camila Simonin.
